In 1988, Mr. Sun received a call from an investor's group that was experiencing a large financial loss in one of their major investments, a Holiday Inn Hotel in San Diego, California. The three investors explained to Mr. Sun that they were losing money in their restaurant and receiving complaints from customers that their first floor was too noisy.Mr. Sun came for a consultation and found that the balance of the first floor was not right. He instructed the investors to change the arrangement of the furniture in the lobby and made some adjustments in the restaurant as well. He also discovered that the hotel had been built on an old graveyard and believed the spirits of those who were buried there were unhappy. Mr. Sun performed used an alternative healing technique, which quieted the spirits and made them peaceful.
In addition to the changes Mr. Sun advised for the first floor of the hotel, he also evaluated the office of one of the investors and discovered that it was also unbalanced. He told the investor to change his desk to face a different direction and a few other things that changed the Feng Shui of the office.
Within a few months, the hotel saw an incredible increase in revenue. The investors' group went on to develop more hotels and has been successful in all of their endeavors thanks to the help of Mr. Sun.

After giving a lecture in 1990, Mr. Sun received a phone call requesting a consultation with a successful engineer who was experiencing problems at home. The man was having difficulties with his son.The son was acting out and behaving poorly at school. He had a short temper and was being unproductive at school. Mr. Sun talked to the boy and the father and instructed the father to introduce his son to martial arts. After a few months of practicing martial arts and Chinese philosophy, the son was excelling at school and later became the captain of his high school football team.
